This Little Light Of Mine...

Two coats of porch and floor paint - check

painted rails and banister - check

strung lights - check

We don't even have anything back up on the deck yet, but it looks party ready to me!

Doesn't it look like it's just begging to be danced on?

Seriously.

There's just something about those little lights...

Love 'em!

The entire "inside" of the deck is finished being painted...

meaning that the entire outside has not.

I still need to paint all of the balusters and posts around the outside.

Let me tell you how excited I am about that.

(That last sentence was thick with sarcasm, just in case you couldn't tell.)

It's shaping up to be great additional space for our

Annual Chowder Cook-Off!

But, there won't be any painting happening today...

Today my best friend, Kelly, and I are heading out to

Do The Puyallup

and ending the night listening to her

We're meeting some friends there for a Girl's Night Out.

Should be fun!

And the concert is bound to be good!

Happy Friday, everyone!

I think y'all have more hours in your day that we do in SC. You are always getting so much accomplished.
It looks great.

Beautiful weather in the Northwest right now. How lucky are we.
I re-stained our deck this year too, inside and out. Took me forever but it looks great.
I always like white lights no matter what time of year. My husband thinks they are only for Christmas.

I would love to bust a move on that.
I am so sad that I am not going to the concert. It is a good thing though because, as it turned out, John is out of town. Have fun.

Ahhh, your deck is stunning! The lighting is perfect!

My daughter is headed up to the fair tomorrow - going w/ her 'soon-to-be' husband. Should be a blast for them.

Hope the concert is awesome!~G

Looks like a scene from a movie set.

It looks amazing! Do you rent it out for movies? :)

Honestly, I love the idea of floor paint. I have a wood deck that kind of had a redwood stain to it, and I'd LOVE to paint it. Hmmm....

Love the lights. Yes, where did you find them? I have been looking for some like that but everywhere I have found them they have been rather pricy.

Have not been to the Puyallup in years - have fun!

The deck looks incredible and your girl's night out doesn't sound too shabby either.

We were up on ladders hanging five strands of those exact lights in my back yard last night! Celebrating my husband's 40th tonight! I love how you strung them around your deck. What are the poles from? That's what we were missing...

Unfortunately my deck needs some TLC so I am anxious to see more pics of yours completed! Very nice!

Ooohhh! The deck looks fabulous!
We put little lights around our porch this year and it just adds SO much character.

That deck is gorgeous! I now have deck envy. Mine looks pitiful. It has been hit by a tornado (then repaired) and trampled on by dogs and kids for 7 years. Yours look so lovely that I might just have myself a project for the fall. I also love those lights! They remind me of the party scene in Nights in Rodanthe.
