Up until two days ago, I was fine with putting off decorating for Fall just a bit longer. Our Summer was fun and crazy busy and a little too short for some of us up here in the Pacific Northwest.
The past few days have given us quite a bit of rain, the kids are all back in school, orange mums are blooming in the garden, and Pumpkin Spice Lattes have returned.
(YAY!)
But despite all of that, I was still going to hold off on Fall.
Until I saw this...

M-hmmm. I know. It's perfection.
So, thanks to Michelle, my fall decorating has now begun.

Oh, yeah, I've been bit by the Fall Bug! I agree, that photo is absolute perfection....gotta go check that out. I've about gotten the inside decorated and hope to find some bright mums and fabulous pumpkins for my front porch in the next few days. Love this time of year!!!

No No No! It's not time yet! We only had about a month of summer and, even though it's raining now, I'm sure we're going to have sun popping out anytime! (please oh please!)
As much as I love that picture, I am so not done with summer - I feel like we got majorly jipped this year!

Happy (almost) Fall!!!
I love Fall and wish it would feel more like it here in FL but it doesn't. So, I'm holding off just a bit. That mantel is so pretty!!
I am not quite ready yet--I have put a few fallish flowers out...but that is it. I need some non-ninety degree weather first!

I'm hanging onto summer for a bit longer... September is my favorite month because the weather is still lovely without the cold... but the temperatures dip in the morning and warm up again by noon... love that.

My husband keeps saying it's too early for fall decorations, but I am soooo ready!
Well, it's still in the 90's here so it's not very Fall-ish at all. I've seen a few spots of color in some of the trees AND I've had a couple Pumpkin Spice lattes too. Add that to all of the Fall projects being posted in blog world and it's gotten me in the decorating mood!

If there is any summer to hang onto I am...but it seems to have faded. Now I'm thinking about warm clothes, to stay warm...THEN I can think about fall decor. That mantel is really charming! Janell
Summer my friend...it's supposed to be in the 80s all weekend and into next week...fall keeps trying to sneak in, but the warmth keeps pushing it away. I can never decorate for fall until October...not when we are still hitting the spray pads:)
I'm ready for the fall and always want it a little early due to this unbearable heat here in Vegas. That mantle setup is just gorgeous. Yay for inspiration!

Just come across your blog..love it and as we are about to decorate the lounge loving the inspiration and the low cost wood panelling..l've seen it in several homes across the water finally got my OH to agree to have a go just one wall behind the fireplace for now hehe...l'm sure l'll persuade him it looks fabulous in one or two other spots too...thanks for helping to change his mind xx
I am so ready for fall. It is still so hot here. But as I pull homemade banana bread out of the oven, I am hoping that the weather will take the hint and send me a cold front a little early.
i love this arrangement, especially the mirror with the two vases at each end. it perfectly sized and not overwhelming for that space. i may just have to recreate it :)
